Grow your business, improve forest health, help address climate change and support your local community. We are currently looking for consulting foresters in the Central Appalachians, Northeast and the Upper Midwest.

Grow Your Business

The Family Forest Carbon Program offers you a new revenue stream to add to your business.

Do you have existing or potential clients who are looking to improve the health of their forest but lack the financial resources to implement their goals? The Family Forest Carbon Program is a new opportunity you can offer to family forest owners.

While most forest carbon programs are only accessible to larger landowners with several thousand acres, the Family Forest Carbon Program empowers smaller family forest landowners to participate in the carbon market while earning income from their land.

Once you become an FFCP-approved consulting forester, your eligible clients can enroll, you can connect with new clients, and we will fund both your work with the program and the landowner’s implementation of the practices.

Benefits of Joining

The Family Forest Carbon Program provides opportunities for both foresters and their clients to achieve vital stewardship goals. The program is uniquely designed to help your clients adopt long-term sustainable management that improves carbon sequestration and the health and value of their forest. When you become a consulting forester, you will receive:

  • Support for existing clients and access to new client leads.
  • Resources to help you guide your clients through the improved forest management practices.
  • The ability to offer clients the first chance to enroll in new regions and areas.
  • Payments for completed visits and additional payments for work that results in enrollment in the program (depending on region).
